Serving Those Who Served
Empowering Veterans and their families with resources, opportunities, and a helping hand.
The American Legion was chartered by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic veterans organization. Focusing on service to veterans, servicemembers, communities, and their families, the Legion evolved from a group of war-weary veterans of World War I into one of the most influential nonprofit groups in the United States.
The Walter Graham Rockton American Legion was founded on October 13, 1932 by a group of Veterans and has been committed to serving the veteran community for over 90 years.
Our team has grown over the years, but our dedication to our mission remains the same.
At the Rockton American Legion, our values are at the core of everything we do. We are committed to mentoring youth, supporting veterans, and fostering patriotism & honor among the local community.
In 1919, the The American Legion was founded on four pillars: Veterans Affairs & Rehabilitation, National Security, Americanism, and Children & Youth.
These 4 pillars are the bedrock of our great organization.
